In this course we will dive into the process of unveiling our essential power and freedom through the voice. We will implement vocal technique, meditation, qigong, visualization, ritual and toning, based in esoteric Daoism, western mysticism, and yogic arts.
We will be expanding and refining our voices through highly effective, liberating vocal techniques and exercises, and discovering the healing phenomena of coherence through our voice and nervous system regulation through breath and tone.
Our speech and language greatly changes our life. We will bring conscious awareness into our habits of internal and external dialogues, and implement transformational practices to ritualize our voices for conscious creation.
We will unveil our pure, natural tone, discovering overtones and the full range of our voice. We will open ourselves to grace and experience ourselves as a pure vessel for the creative force.
Â
The creative process of the voice has the power to transform unlike anything else in this world. We only need to show up for this process while increasing our awareness. The foundation for our sound and expression lies in the increased ability and practice of sensate awareness and embodiment. In these times of being more isolated from the natural world than ever before, many of us have unconsciously learned to survive slightly outside the body, with gaps of presence of the form and function.
Practices for heightened presence, focus and expanding ones awareness will be practiced along with the art of deep listening, refining our instruments as artists and creators, and thriving in our lives and relationships. .

As a vocal coach, Sonja has led international workshops, courses, private sessions, master classes and retreats, and is the founder of the Voice and Somatic Therapeutics method. Her clients include singers, dancers, actors, martial artists, coaches, healers, students and professionals from all walks of life. She has developed a unique method of vocal based Somatic Therapy, rooted in Daoist Qigong, Nada Yoga, Attention Dynamics, Ancestral Healing and in the natural synthesis of highly effective techniques and practices she has learned throughout the Eastern and Western world.
Born of a Hungarian mother and Serbian father, she sought out the study of Eastern European singing on her own as a young girl, and its expression quickly became a homecoming. She began performing Balkan and Medieval European music as well as her own compositions at the age of 18. At that time she also began her studies in classical Hindustani and Persian singing, and later continued to expand her voice through Turkish, Greek and Arabic singing. She was adopted as protégé by the legendary Bulgarian vocalist Tatiana Sarbinska at the age of 20, and continued her studies with Tatiana and the renowned Bulgarian vocalist Tsvetanka Varimezova.
Throughout her studies and her career, she continues to maintain her focus on the immense healing power of the voice, transformational practices, the devotional aspect of song, and on intercultural unification through music.
