MEET RHEA ALEXANDER

Rhea Alexander is an herbal educator, retreat facilitator, private chef, and founder of GaiaTree. With a background and extensive training in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, vitalist herbalism, integrative pharmacology, meditation, dream interpretation, and medical and natal astrology, she weaves together interconnected patterns that weave through the cosmos, nature, the psyche, and everyday life, allowing each to illuminate others, along with, ancient wisdom and direct experience that merge into a unique approach to holistic living and authentic relationship with the natural world.

Her path was born through profound personal transformation. After leaving a successful career as a yacht chef and years of searching for deeper meaning around the world, Rhea devoted her life to listening to the intelligence of nature. Through 7 years of travel, 5 years of living at sea, extensive time in Bali, and master plant dietas with Shipibo healers in the Peruvian Amazon, she came to recognize Gaia herself as her greatest teacher.

Today, Rhea guides others into authentic relationship with plants—not simply as remedies, but as teachers, allies, and mirrors for self-discovery. Her work emphasizes direct experience, vitalist herbalism, plant communication, plant language, health sovereignty, radical authenticity, Indigenous studies, and cultivating the body's innate wisdom rather than relying solely on external authorities.

She has studied under teachers including Sajah Popham (Evolutionary Herbalism), Don Loyver Yui (Shipibo Vegetalista), Lawrence Laughing (Mohawk elder), and Kevin Turner (Foundation for Shamanic Studies Asia), among other wisdom keepers and teachers, while continually allowing her own lived experience to shape and refine her practice.

Through GaiaTree, Rhea facilitates plant immersions, educational programs, retreats, private consultations, and nourishing culinary experiences that invite people to reconnect with themselves, listen to the living world, and innerstand the intelligence that exists within both.
