The ancients fashioned astrology as a complete spiritual practice – a tool for awakening the starlight within, interpreting its character in natal charts, and harnessing its power through magic. In Hermetic Astrology, you will learn astrology alongside the spiritual practices and magical rituals that once accompanied it.
This course will teach you to see the world as the ancients saw it: a perfectly harmonized world of four elements, enlivened with celestial starfire. You will discover meditations and spiritual practices which align you with celestial energy constantly cycling between the above and below.
Additionally, this course will teach you the foundational mechanics you need in order to interpret the motions of that celestial energy within natal charts: planets, signs, houses, and aspects. We will also cover several classical techniques in horoscopic astrology, including sect, house dispositorship, and transits.
As you become acquainted with celestial energy both within yourself and within natal charts, you will begin the process of connecting to the spirits of the stars through astrological magic. Through the power of magical ritual, you will have the opportunity to interact with the energies of the planets and stars above firsthand.
By the end of the course, you will know how to examine a natal chart according to ancient interpretations of its foundational components. You will have everything you need to begin the practice of predicting the future for yourself and others. You will have a time-tested method for casting magical rituals and speaking with planetary spirits, and meditations that can carry you and transform your magical practice for the rest of your life.

Meet Matthew Merlin
Matthew is a practicing traditional astrologer, a trained philosopher, and a translator of Ancient Greek and Sanskrit.
He is a dedicated practitioner of astrological magic, meditation, Hatha yoga, and Daoist circle walking.
As an academic and a scholar, he utilizes intellectual rigor to restore the worldview and astrological prowess of the ancient world and apply it to the modern day.
