Course Overview
You are invited to reintegrate all aspects of your heart, body, and soul, weaving together the threads of your being that have become frayed in the maze of modern life. Whether you're new to Daoism and somatic practices or a seasoned explorer, you’ll be immersed in a philosophy that introduces you to the sacred aliveness of all beings. You will receive tools that you can use to navigate life’s challenges with grace.
Animist Daoism: The Way of Mythic Purpose is a unique synthesis of the Daoist and Animist traditions which Eve has devoted many years to studying and teaching. This philosophy is a deeply relational way of engaging with the world, one that recognizes the sentience and soul in all things. As we cultivate this intimate relationship with the elemental world, we begin to sense our place in the ecology of the cosmos.
The embodied practices of Mythosomatic forms, which Eve has honed through intensive study and now masterfully teaches, provide a powerful way to re-inhabit our bodies with sensitivity and vitality so that we can align with our mythic purpose.
Animist Daoism philosophy and the Mythosomatic practices are eminently practical. You'll gain the resources to meet life's challenges with grace, stay rooted in your truth while holding space for others, and participate creatively in the unfolding of your destiny.

As a student of Animist Daoism, you will:
- Develop the capacity to listen deeply to your soul's whispers and align with your unique mythic purpose
- Learn to alchemize Animist Daoist teachings, Mythosomatic practices, and ritual to create a meaningful and practical way of being
- Journey through the elemental realms of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal to dissolve old patterns, emerge in authentic expression, embody generous purpose, ground in nourishing rest, and metabolize experience into wisdom
Eve Bradford is your beloved guide for this course
Eve Bradford is an educator, artist, and oracular practitioner who works at the crossroads of art, activism, medicine, and magic. Her offerings are a fierce invitation into radical aliveness, weaving together ancient wisdom teachings with truths she has found on her own journey.
In 2017, a series of life-shattering events brought Eve to her knees. It was in this crucible that she met her primary teacher, Genevieve Sophia Tao. Under Tao's guidance, Eve immersed herself in the study of Mythosomatic practices, Daoist philosophy, sacred martial arts, and primordial yoga. For three years, she devoted herself to daily training, eventually becoming one of only two people certified to teach the full spectrum of Tao's work.
Eve also spent a decade studying with Martin Prechtel. While she acknowledges the complexity of her relationship with him as a teacher, his work profoundly shaped Eve's relationship to ritual, community, and the sacred.
From these rich lineages, and through her own deep practice and teaching, Eve has birthed this unique body of wisdom known as Animist Daoism.

Overview of Sessions
Each week will include both teachings on the spiritual philosophy of Animist Daoism as well as mythosomatic and ritual practices to support and embody these understandings.
SESSION 1: WATER

We begin our journey on the path to Mythic Purpose in the elemental realm of Water, in surrender, forgiveness and the dissolution of patterns of thought and behavior that are no longer in alignment with the deep intelligence of our soul.
SESSION 2: WOOD
-
We then journey into the Wood Realm, beginning to feel the natural emergence of our most authentic expression, exploring and inquiring into the way that the vast intelligence of the Dao expresses itself specifically through the vessel of our unique being.
SESSION 3: FIRE

The Fire realm is where we reach with courage and vulnerability into the fullness of how our unique Mythic Purpose is longing to be expressed in our lives at this time, and feeling how the ultimate form of self-cultivation is generosity.
SESSION 4: EARTH

Now we get to land in Earth, to ground and stabilize after the passionate risk of Fire, to connect with communal networks of care, to come into relationship with rest, nourishment and resource.
SESSION 5: METAL
- In Metal, we now have the opportunity to enter the realm of spiritual rigor, to reflect honestly with ourselves about the journey thus far, and to begin the process of metabolizing experience into wisdom, further clarifying the truth of our own Mythic Purpose.
SESSION 6: WATER

We return at last to Water, allowing all that we have cultivated and learned to integrate, to enter into deep listening and active receptivity, as the journey around the elemental cycle begins again.
